Further
information on sieving machines / sieve devices Throw-action
sieving machines: Screening machines are sieve machines, in
which the vertical throwing motion is overlaid with a slight circular
motion. It results in a distribution of the sieving sample over the
whole sieving surface. By that the particles are accelerated in a
vertical direction. Due to the throw-action they carry out free rotations in the air and
alternate their positions. According to the movement carried out in
the air, it might occur that those particles that apparently do not
fit the gutter of the sieve might be sieved after all. If the
particles are smaller than the mesh they fall right through it, but
if they might be larger in their length and cannot pass the mesh,
they are vertically accelerated and might change their direction so
that they might now pass through the meshes, if they have a smaller
width instead. Tapping
sieving machines: In horizontal sieve machines the horizontal
circular motion is overlaid by slight vertical motions. The vertical
motion is triggered by a so called tapping impulse from underneath. |
