Crane Scales
On our website you can find a wide range of crane scales for the industry. Industrial crane scales have a big display for proper reading of  the weight. Industrial crane scales are intended for the mounting between the crane hook and the actual load. When a load is attached to the crane scales, they can determine its weight and show the measured values on their large display. The smallest of our crane scales have a weight range of up to 20 kg and a bright display which can be clearly read from a relatively far distance. TZ-x series crane scales have a weight range up to 20 t. Most of the industrial crane scales come with an infrared remote control. This provides a more comfortable operation and is also beneficial to the safety at work. By using the remote control the industrial crane scales can be operated even under severe conditions and from a safe distance. Thanks to their infrared remote control, crane scales can be used under severe conditions (only selected models). Many of the crane scales are battery operated. This is an additional feature since these crane scales are not only able to perform mobile measurements. In addition all crane scales have a safety factor of 4. Maximum safety overload protection is 400% in all the weight ranges. Some crane scales have an overload safety factor of 5, which corresponds to an overload protection of 500%. As you can see in the technical specifications In some cases the crane scales are already calibrated when the come to the customer so that he doesn't have to face any additional costs for calibration certificates or anything else. Spare units like line charger and accumulators are available in all our crane scales. For those scales that do not include a calibration certificate we can also offer you ISO calibration certificates. This means that you will get a laboratory calibration certificate (with the customer- and device details). Here are some further details of our crane scales with a weight range from 100 kg up to 20,000 kg. They are often recommended in the loading ramp due, the weight of the load can be read directly. However, they are also commonly used in the production field, for instance, to elevate a drum, to read the weight and to see the results directly in the production site. The images above show crane scales during application. On the left you can take a look at the PCE-CS HD series crane scales being used in a galvanized installation. As you can see the device is hard to reach in this particular situation, but its infrared remote control nonetheless allows a comfortable and safe operation from a distance. The picture on the right shows the PCE-CS 1000 series crane scales during operation. Due to its large illuminated LED display, the measured values can be read very well, even when standing farther away from it. This improves the safety at work, when weighing out heavy loads. Crane scales must be verified when they are used to determine the price of a product according to its weight. Verification of crane scales (only for the selected models) can be performed by the local authorized verification centre or by the PCE Instruments Company. Once an official verification is done, the crane scales cannot be recalibrated using an external calibration weight. The first verification is valid for two years, but every other verification is valid for one year and must be done annually. We recommend the companies that wish to make an internal quality control to their crane scales, to recalibrate them annually or to obtain an ISO calibration certificate. In order to meet the ISO 9000 standard, certificate consists of a laboratory calibration and a certificate with the testing results. In the certificate there will be the name of the company or the details of the customer, except for series II crane scales, which have to be verified in situ.
