Scales
System
Scales are all those scales, which are designed to be a part of a larger system.
That system is mostly designed to
facilitate the user and support a quicker, more reliable and more effective
collection of data and thus providing a more effective work environment. That
effectiveness might be even in a smaller context, e.g. in terms of automatic summation of
several weighing procedures by means of the system scales , instead
of having to do that manually. Such support is either provided by the system
scale itself (internal program) or by their connection with computers or other
analysis and evaluation units. In that case the system scales function as a data
feed for the connected device and require a two-way-communication system, e.g. a
serial RS-232 interface or an analogue output, e.g. 4-20 mA. The
two-way-communication system allows a control and evaluation of the system
scales via the serial interface. The communicating language is a readable ASCII
code and provides many possibilities in terms of programming by means of the
description of the interface in the instruction manuals. Due to the necessity of
a two-way-communication-path the system scales only feature a RS232 interface
instead of USB interfaces. USB connection can be established via USB converters
connected to the RS232 interface. If requested, our system scales can be also
equipped with a LAN or USB interface with a separate IP address. There is plenty
of additional equipment and certificates purchasable for the system scales. If you can't find the

Here
are a few of the applications of our system scales: counting items of the same
weight by means of the system scales, automatic transfer of the data to a
computer with direct feed into a program, e.g. Excel, Word, DHL, UPS, GLS, etc.,
system scales that monitor the filling level of containers, and inform the user
as soon as preset weight values are reached, or system scales that monitor the
filling process of a container and control it. System scales with statistic
evaluation and information regarding the min., max., Ø, number of measurements
etc., system scales with data storage and recording systems. Due to their
multiple applications, our system scales can be used in laboratories with a
precision of 0.1 mg or in industrial facilities for weights up to 6000 kg.
Calibratable
scales are legally required whenever the price of an item is determined by its
weight, same as whenever you are buying meat from your local butchery. But
calibratable system scales are also legally required if customs duty or other
costs are determined by weight (post offices / FedEx, UPS etc.), for laboratorial
analysis, for the fabrication of medicine in pharmacies. For further information
regarding the calibration please contact your local calibration authorities or
feel free to ask our technicians and engineers. They will gladly advise you in
terms of finding a suitable scale for your individual requirements.
