PCE-IR 100
(HACCP) Food Thermometer Food thermometer to determine temperature with or without contact or for the detection of the core temperature (with folding sensor probe), meets HACCP standard
The PCE-IR 100 food thermometer combines velocity, easy handling and accuracy in measuring non-contact surface temperature and an insertable device which is able to determine the core temperature. The PCE-IR 100 food thermometer allows the user to quickly test the surface temperature of food without risk of contamination due to the infrared sensor. It also offers the possibility of testing the core temperature of food using the sensor probe. The PCE-IR-100 food thermometer offers workers in food processing, food inspectors and customer service an easy and effective way to check if the food temperature is in compliance with HACCP standards. The thermometer uses LEDs to indicate temperatures below 4ºC, temperatures between 4ºC and 60ºC and temperatures above 60ºC. This allows an effective check of HACCP. The PCE-IR 100 food thermometer is the ideal device to be combined with other thermometers. At the following link you can find the thermometer that best suits your needs.

The display of the PCE-IR 100 food thermometer shows both the current function and the setting. It can be washed thanks to its water-resistant case.
Characteristics
- combines contact and non-contact measurement of temperature - wide range of measurement - developed for use in the food industry according to HACCP standards - emissivity fixed at 0.97 (ideal for food) - quick response time - minimum and maximum Hold function - continuous measurements over a period of time - It can be ISO calibrated (thermometers come calibrated but an optional ISO calibration and certificate can be ordered) - Ingress protection IP 65, which allows the thermometer to be hygienically cleaned
Measurement functions
The PCE-IR 100 food thermometer combines the measurement of the surface temperature (Scan) and the measurement of the core temperature. This allows a quick overview of the temperature conditions and also a recaution of the infrared measurements due to the integrated sensor probe (test).

Quick view

HACCP standards were established to always ensure a constant product quality by observing hygienic levels and thus to avoid the risk of contamination. Food producers cannot put into circulation food which doesn't meet these strict standards. It's important to test food temperature and the relation of temperature to time, which serves to ensure that there is no risk of contamination of exposed foods. This is particularly important in the food transportation as they can travel significant distances to reach their final destination. The reduction of preservatives in food means that alternative methods of preservation, such as cooling or heating, are frequently used.
There are signals in the upper portion of the display to assist the user: green = safe red = warning The warning range comprises temperatures that perishable foods should only be exposed briefly (4 to 60ºC ). The average temperature will appear on the display.
Indication of the measuring point
For infrared temperature measurement with the PCE-IR 100 thermometer, the measured surface area is illuminated. This ensures that the correct point is being targeted, thus avoiding errors.
Usage
The PCE-IR-100 food thermometer can be used in all industrial food sectors, including production, manufacturing, shipment and storage. Catering and restaurants can also make use of this thermometer for food preparation and storage.
