Dosing Scales
|
Many of our scales are used as dosing scales. The economic platform scales are giving way to special dosing scales which are more expensive. Solidity, wide weighing range and high accuracy are the main advantages of dosing scales. Both dosing and weight functions make their usage in industrial processes easier and more reproducible. Some models of laboratory scales, accurate scales and tabletop scales have dosing function too. The choice of the scales, you are looking for, will depend on the accuracy, weighing range and verification. Other series of scales are TS series package scales. These scales offer a lot of additional specifications and many of them are perfect for weighing mixtures (recipes). If you can't find the dosing scale you are looking for, please contact us and we will help you find the best solution which suits your needs: UK customers +44(0) 23 809 870 30 / US customers (561) 320-9162. Our technical staff will advise you regarding our products. Our engineers and technicians will be happy to help you with the dosing scales, and of course, with the other products in the field of regulation and control, and measuring instruments. Below you will find examples of different ways of using dosing scales:
The symbol for mixing (recipes) in the engineering data of dosing scales means that these scales can be used for mixing and making recipes.Verification: To meet CE 90/384 CEE standard, all dosing scales must be verified when they are used for one of the following purposes (as pointed out previously, verification can be carried out by the local authorized verification centre or by PCE Instruments company, except for series II dosing scales which have to be verified in situ). a) In trade relationships, when the price of the product is determined by its weight. b) For making medicines in pharmacy as well as detailed analysis in medical or pharmaceutical laboratories. c) Official activities such as determining rates or sanctions. d) For
production packaging. If you want to get an additional information about verification of dosing scales, or if you are not sure whether you need a verified scale, you can contact your local authorized verification centre. Verification of dosing scales (only for the selected models) can be done when scales are ordered or they can be sent for a periodical verification. Once an official verification has been done, dosing scales cannot be recalibrated using an external calibration weight. The first verification is valid for two years, but every other verification is valid only for one year and must be done annually by the authorized verification centre. If you have not found any dosing scale yet, please contact us and our engineers will be happy to help you assess our scales and balances which suit your needs.
