Gas Analyser of Modified Atmospheres CheckPoint Portable gas analyser for point checkings of packaged food or pharmaceutical products in modified atmospheres
|
The Gas analyser of modified atmospheres CheckPoint is a portable device with an ergonomic design for the control of packaged food sealed in modified atmospheres. The flexible gas probe of the Gas analyser of modified atmospheres CheckPoint allows to perform tests even in flat or small packages. The display with three keys ensures a safe operation of the Gas analyser of modified atmospheres CheckPoint. In addition to the electrochemical oxygen sensors, there is an optional infrared carbon dioxide sensor available for the gas analyser of modified atmospheres CheckPoint. Thanks to its high level sensors, you will only need a little amount of gas and a short measuring time. When the power consumption is low, there is an auto shut-off (after 1 minute) to save energy. The batteries of the gas analyser of modified atmospheres CheckPoint can perform up to 2500 measurements. The internal memory stores the last 10 measurement values. These values can be displayed by using the three function keys. The gas analyser of modified atmospheres CheckPoint can also be used for other fields of application such as logistics, the pharmaceutical industry and beverage industry. Technical information of the gas analyser of modified atmospheres CheckPoint can be found at the following link.

Modified or protected atmosphere: Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) is a technique used for prolonging the shelf-life period of fresh or minimally processed foods. In this preservation technique the air surrounding the food in the package is changed to another composition. In most cases, oxygen (O2) is reduced from 20.9 % to 0.2 % for a higher carbon dioxide concentration (CO2) as well as nitrogen. Because of the high reduction of oxygen, the microbial growth (which is the responsible for food spoilage) slows down. By using this method to extend the expiry date, chemical products are avoided.
