Radio Interface / Radio Modem E805U-D For wireless connection of RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces
The E805U-D provides a wireless connection between serial RS-232 or RS-485 interfaces. It is a cost-effective wireless alternative for connections of SPS, data loggers and computers or other devices. The E805U-D was developed for the uncomplicated and easy application. The radio modem is compact and has a radio module, power supply and serial interfaces integrated in a robust industrial casing. The radio transmission takes place via a royalty-free 869 MHz radio frequency with a performance of 500 mW and a range of up to 5 km. The installation occurs easy and reliable on a top-hat rail according to German standard DIN. If there are any questions about this Radio Interface / Radio Modem E805U-D have a look at the technical specification below or call: UK customers +44(0) 23 809 870 30 / US customers +1-410-387-7703. Our technicians and engineers will gladly advise you in all data loggers and all products in the field of measuring instruments, regulation and control and scales.

Serial interface
Standard baud rate: 1,200 until 115,200 baud RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces are internal connected with the same serial port. The serial interfaces have an asynchronous NRZ format. Characters with 7 or 8 bits with different parity and with 1 or 2 stopbits will be supported. - RS-232: full duplex as a DCE device with RTS/CTS hardware Handshaking. Connection via 9 contacts SUB-D-socket. - RS-485: half-duplex for Twisted Pair Mulitdrop Networks. Input and output buffer: 2 Kbyte

Transmitter / Receiver
Separated channel, synthesized transmitter / receiver Frequency: 869.4 MHz, 250KHz channel, 500 mW, expected reach in visual contact, with aerial with unit reinforcement 5 km (19.2 baud), 10 % relative cut-in time. Frequency: 869.4 MHz, 250 KHz channel, 500 mW, expected reach in visual connection, with aerial with unit reinforcement 1 km (19.2 baud), 100 % relative cut-in time. - RSSI -60 until -120 dBm - RF data transmission rate: 19,200, 38,400, 76,800 baud The reach can be expanded: - up to 5 interconnected repeater in regulated mode - unlimited number of repeaters in transparent mode Corresponds to standard EN 300 220 Aerial connection is SEMA coaxial

Data transmission
Transparent mode: data will be transmitted with a system and group address. The data transmission starts, when serial data will be received, whereas the minimum data volume is 530 byte. All modules with a correct system address that receive data packages will put out the data. Error checking is optional. Controlled mode: data will be transmitted in packages with a system, source and target address with up to 5 interconnected repeater addresses and a 16 bit CRC error checking. Will the package be received with correct error checking only the target device will put out the data and will send back a ACK report (confirmation). If the source module does not receive an ACK report it will repeat transmission up to 4 times. DCD provides state of communication. More: an automatic connection mode and a mode for selection control are available. CTS/RTS flow control will be provided based on availability of input buffer.
