The PCE-CT 27FN coating thickness gauge is used to measure the coating thickness on metallic material. In this way coatings, paints, plastic and similar material can be checked. The coating thickness gauge is used to check measurements. The coating thickness gauge can be used in quality control and also in production to check work pieces. 

The coating thickness gauge is especially suitable for the above application, because it works nondestructive and the samples can be used afterwards. In addition to the quality control the coating thickness gauge can also be used for the inspection of incoming goods.

The coating thickness gauge is build to measure the coating thickness of non magnetic coatings such as paint, plastic, chrome, copper, zinc, enamel, etc. on steel and iron. Also it is suitable to measure all insulating coatings such as paint, plastic, enamel, paper, glass, rubber, etc. on copper, aluminum, brass and stainless steel as well as anodizing on aluminum.
