Description of the adapters included in delivery

Camera head of fiberscope:

The image on the right shows the head of the fiberscope PCE-DE 25. This head has a diameter of 10 mm with the camera lens in the middle with a resolution of 240 x 230 pixels. The 4 LEDs are arranged in a circle around the camera lens, which are dimmable and assure ideal lighting conditions around the measured area even in darker spaces. The slot at the back of the head is made for the various adapters that are included in delivery. By using those adapters the fiberscope PCE-DE 25 qualifies as multi-functional device. The various options provided by these adapters is listed below.

Hook adapter for Fiberscope PCE-DE 25:

By attaching this hook adapter to the fiberscope you can use it to remove objects from locations that would be otherwise difficult to reach. It is applicable for any objects, which can be grabbed by a hook, e.g. cables, nut bolts etc.

Magnetic adapter for Fiberscope PCE-DE 25

In case there is a metallic object stuck anywhere in an enclosure of e.g. a machine or an engine, the fiberscope can be used to locate that object and remove it by using the magnetic adapter.

Mirror adapter for Fiberscope PCE-DE 25:

By means of this mirror adapter you can take a look on spaces which could otherwise not be reached by the fiberscope even with its flexible cable cord, e.g. the backside of objects that are difficult to reach. Otherwise you would require for this task a fiberscope in a higher price range with complex panorama heads.

General information on fibroscopy
The fiberscope was invented in 1806 by the German doctor Philipp Bozzini, developed to facilitate medical diagnostic procedures. The prototype was a rigid fiberscope with a candle used as light source. During the following years the fiberscope was further developed and became an important equipment in many areas. Even today the most important field of application for the fiberscope is medicine, where it is not only used for examination purposes but also to perform endoscopic surgeries by passing micro tools through integrated channels. Another important application area is the Technical field, whether it is the automobile industry for diagnostics of engines, in the sanitary area to examine pipes or in areas of construction to examine buildings on possible pest infestation. Today the fiberscope is purchasable in many different variations due to its popularity.
