Sound meter CEL-620 sound level meter with internal data memory / high-resolution colour screen / menu in several languages / compact and robust design / evaluations of the noise in the working places / automatic calibration
|
The sound meter series CEL-620 uses the most advanced digital technology in order to offer high performance levels in a compact design. The digital sound meter series CEL-620 with its high-resolution colour TFT screen was created specifically to take noise measurements in a fast and simple way. There are various models of this sound meter available depending on the user's requirements regarding noise measurements within general working surroundings. This digital sound meter even satisfies industrial hygiene specific requirements where the analysis of octave bands is necessary to select effective auditory protection. The sound meter series CEL-620 is made up of the CEL-620 A/2/K1 and the CEL-620B/2/K1. The sound meter series CEL-620 measures average noise levels as well as peak levels, thereby it enables the control of noise in the working surroundings. Furthermore, the sound level meter model CEL-620A/2/K1 measures the LC and LA simultaneously used with the HML method for the selection of auditory protection. In addition, the sound meter model CEL-620B/2/K1 analyses octave bands in real time from 16Hz to 16kHz; those values are used in the method of octave bands for the selection of auditory protection. In case of any further questions concerning the sound meter, please consult the technical data below or contact us. Our technicians and engineers will be happy to advise you on this digital sound meter and any product our regulation and control systems, meters and scales of PCE Instruments UK.

The series CEL-620 uses a high resolution screen that helps the user take measurements. The screen of the measurements are codified in colours depending on the operation. For example, during a measurement session, the head and the foot of the screen will be green (as shown on the right). If you interrupt the measurement, it will turn red. The measured parameters, bar charts are visualised in different colours as well as the bar charts to give the user an easier explanation of the noise state.

Simple operation |
|
The series CEL-620 was designed to be used easily.
You do not have to study the manual instruction in order to use the menu. A simple structure of icons with messages is used for each section. The instrument has six selectable configurations. Four predefined configurations can be used to measure noise in the working place in compliance with the appropriate legislation (e.g. DIN, OSHA). Two user-configurations can be defined to visualise parameters and weightings as needed.
Regardless of the used configuration, the series CEL-620 measures and stores all parameters and weightings. If requested, these will be visualised in software. The measurement errors are excluded thanks to the registered parameters. Up to 100 measurements can be stored without the need to download. All the sessions of measurement are marked with date and hour. When connecting it to a computer via the USB connection, the series CEL-620 works like a memory card, thus data files can be transferred to a computer and visualised easily without requiring a patented software.

Digital technology |
Applying the technology of Digital Signal Processing (DSP), the sound meter series CEL-620 measures all the parameters of noise in the working surroundings simultanously with the necessary time and frequency weightings, avoiding the incorrect configuration of the instrument. The instrument has a wide range of measurement from 20-140 dB, therefore eliminating the necessity of changing the measurement range and preventing errors. In the model CEL-620B/2/K1, the analysis of octave bands is made in real time, which saves time as you do not have to execute the measurements sequentially. The results of the octave bands appear in tabular form and in bar charts, with colour-emphasis on the dominant frequency. The time curve of the broadband noise level is visualised in real time, so the user can see how the noise levels vary with time.
