Air-Quality Meter MF420
CO2-monitoring air-quality meter to
measure air-quality indoors
|
The
air-quality meter is designed to monitor the air quality indoors. A CO2-monitoring
lights detects the carbon dioxide content in air at a surrounding temperature of
-10 to +50 °C quickly and accurate. We all know the importance of the indoors
climate at a workplace, in schools, kindergartens etc. Thus the performance of
every single person crucially depends on the air-quality at the working place.
What air-quality is, how it effects people, and how it can be optimized, will be
explained, if you follow this link (explanation
air-quality). If there are any questions about this
air-quality meter MF420, please have a look at the
technical specification below or call: UK customers +44(0) 23 809 870 30 / US customers +1-410-387-7703. Our technicians and engineers will gladly advise you in all air
quality meters and all products in the field of measuring
instruments, regulation
and control and scales.

Characteristics
This CO2-monitoring lights detect the
carbon dioxide percentage in air at a surrounding temperature of -10 to +50 °C
quickly and accurate. Within the air-quality meter there is a novel infrared
metering system, that functions principally like a common two-beam photometer.
But since material and measuring cuvette are novel, and evaluation and
processing of the measuring signals follow a new digital algorithm, the
air-quality meter is light, compact, during common use maintenance-free,
long-term stable, mobile, but less expensive than other infrared systems.
The air-quality meter is either installed at a wall or set on a shelf and
operates via an adapter. The meter is equipped with a green, a yellow and a red
light that display the air-quality. The green light indicates a carbon dioxide
concentration lower than the Pettenkofer maximal value of 1,000 and means that
the air quality is alright. The yellow LED light glows at a carbon dioxide
concentration between 1,000 and 2,500 ppm, and with that a beep-tone signals
this level as well. Thus an aeration is advised. The red light equals a value of
more than 2,500 ppm CO2 and the device starts
beeping twice. Aeration is necessary. Above values of more than 3,000 ppm the
device beeps five times and the red light blinks.

The
infrared system determines the absolute CO2-concentration in the surrounding
air, monitors constantly itself and reports malfunction of the hard- and
software immediately. The whole measuring range is linear. Installation is very
easy - a professional is not demanded. Simply install and start!

A
broadband infrared radiator (red quadrate) emits pulsed infrared radiation. The
infrared radiation follow a path of rays inside a cuvette. The carbon dioxide
diffused into the cuvette, absorbs within the gas mixture infrared radiation of
specific wave length. At the end of the path of rays a two-beam-NIDR-photometer
gauges the incoming infrared radiation of that carbon dioxide specific wave
length compared to a specific reference wavelength.
