The air sampler PCE- AS 1 is a device designed to monitor microbial pollution. Thus the air sampler fits many applications in various areas of production. The air sampler collects data about the quantity of microorganisms that tend to build colonies in areas of the pharmaceutical industry, the food and beverage industry, as well as in hospitals, the cosmetics industry and on fields of environmental protection and  monitoring. In order to analyze the microbial pollution the air sampler features standardized petri dishes that are to be placed inside the autoclaveable collector head. Therefore the air sampler PCE-AS 1 follows the aerosol impaction principle, where the microorganisms strike the petri dishes containing agar. Thus the sample can be incubated right away inside the air sampler. A simple navigation, an compact and handy design and a LCD display with background lights qualify the air sampler as a user-friendly device of its kind. The results of the relevant parameters can be saved on one of 99 disk spaces. A maximum of 2000 measuring data can be saved and recollected with time, date and volume on the device. Thus a repeatability of the collected data is simplified. It also assures a backup of at least 2000 measuring results on the air sampler itself. Another one of the many advantages of the air sampler would be that the volume of the sample that is to be collected cab be adjusted manually. Thus volumes between 10 and 6000 liters can be collected as samples whilst the flow capacity covers 100 liters per minute. Altogether the air sampler proves to be a mobile device that can be easily transported due to a featured operation on batteries and a robust transportation case.
