The dewpoint scanner consists of an infrared thermostat and an integrated humidity meter. By means of those two sensors the relevant parameters for the determination of dew points can be measured. In case this dewpoint is either reached or even trespassed, there is a higher risk of mold formation. As soon as the dewpoint sensor starts its operation, the room temperature and air humidity can be measured. The calculated dew point can be then used as a reference for infrared measurements at locations that have a higher risk of potential fungal infestation. Thus the dewpoint scanner indicates the exact location of miscellaneous indulgences of the insulation, resulting in humid spots and potential mold formation.
