This diamond analyser is designed for a reliable examination of the authenticity of a diamond. A distinction between real diamonds and artificial stones, the so-called imitations, can thus be easily achieved. Should the user of the analyser be trained in the handling of diamonds, the device will also allow him to distinguish between sapphires, rubies and other stones. The measuring data is determined by a heat conductivity process and can be displayed in various ways. The measuring data can be displayed either acoustically or optically (LED), depending on type and character of the stone. As an additional feature, the diamond analyser has an ultra-violet light source, which enables an examination and evaluation of the diamond’s fluorescence. This feature is helpful during counselling- and sales- conversations. Possible measuring errors on metal or frames will be indicated by the device with a distinctive audio-signal.
