Digital Earth
Tester PeakTech PKT-1115
Digital Earth Tester with LCD Display / battery-state and
over-range indication /
Test frequency of 820 Hz / Safety features according to VDE 0413
|
The
digital earth tester PeakTech PKT-1115 is a robust device with a sealed enclosure.
By that the digital earth tester is designed for professional field work and
meets the required safety standards according to VDE 0413. The digital earth
tester is particularly suited for measurements of individual earth electrodes
(lightening conductors) and smaller earth systems as well as measurements of the
receptivity and continuity of lines, connection elements and electronic
components. The 3 ½- digit LCD display allows a very accurate, but still smooth
read-out. Modern switching circuits of the digital earth tester reduce the
effects of earth voltage and ground resistance of ambient earth electrodes to a
minimum. Furthermore by the test leads, that are included in delivery, a
calibration of the digital earth tester PeakTech PKT-1115 can be performed,
which prevents the digital earth tester from compromised accuracy. The test
frequency of 820 Hz prohibits the influence of leakage currents through line frequencies
and their harmonics. Furthermore the measurement device is equipped with an
integrated filter to suppress interference signals. If there are any questions about this

The
digital earth tester is to connect via the test leads with the picket inserted
into the ground. In order to achieve very accurate measurements with the digital
earth meter, the ground should be a little damp or at least be dampened. The
earth pickets should be spread in a straight line in the ground (first connect
the black earth line, then the green line for a earth probe and then the red
line for the second earth probe to the pickets). Afterwards the digital earth
tester can be started and the grounding of the building be tested. Furthermore
the earth tester can be used in-house, for example to test the connection and
quality of water pipelines to the house's ground. The digital earth tester is
designed in accordance with EN 61010-1 and thereby comply with the safety
requirements for electronic testers (CAT III).
