The capillary viscometer viscoclock is customized for application of an ubbelohde-, a micro- ubbelohde- or micro-ostwald-viscometer. This capillary viscometer is applicable in any transparent thermostat. A manual measurement with a stop watch and a trained eye becomes dispensable with this glass capillary viscometer since time is money and it is better safe than sorry. The viscoclock is an electronic horologe to detect absolute and relative viscosity. It consists of a stand to hold the viscometer and an electronic measurement unit. Both measurement levels are integrated in the stand that is made of high quality PPA synthetic material while the electronic measuring unit is placed in a PP enclosure. The large LCD display enables clear legibility of the measuring data. Since the measuring procedure at the glass capillary viscometer is performed automatically, subjective measuring errors are erased. A high accuracy is then assured.

Notice:
For tempering in a thermostat following tempering fluids are applicable: water,
alcohol-water (e.g. ethanol. methanol), paraffin oil and silicone oil. There are
only fluids to analyze that are qualified for the respectively used
viscometer.
An application in heat transfer fluid can result in colour
change of the plastic. But it has no impact on the function and quality of the
viscoclock.

Accuracy:
The most accurate method
to determine the viscosity of fluids is a measurement
in a capillary viscometer. The viscoclock follows that method. As accurate as
quartz the flow time is detected with a resolution of 1/100 s. An accuracy of
0.01% of the measured time in order to determine the absolute and relative
viscosity is indicated as incertitude with a confidence range of 95%.
