PCE-DX-DS Shore D Hardness Tester
Mechanical hardness tester for measuring hard plastic, with needle
pressure gauge for improved reading of PEAK value

This hardness tester is used for measuring the hardness of the surface (Shore D) of hard rubber and plastic. It consists of a sensor with an 360º anti-glare dial. The device can be calibrated anytime, and ISO calibration certificate can be ordered when required. For better reading of PEAK value, the device comes with an additional needle that freezes to mark the maximum point. Once the reading is taken the needle can be reset to zero. With the PCE-DX-DS (D) model, you will always obtain values of the highest accuracy and repeatability.

There are other, easy-to-use digital devices for testing the hardness of elastics (Shore A) which can be found at this link. This digital hardness meter comes calibrated from the factory and includes ISO calibration certificate.
