The Krebs viscometer PCE- RVI 6 is designed to determine the viscosity of paints, lacquer and other coatings. Despite its size the Krebs viscometer can be applied at various locations. Thus the Krebs viscometer does not necessary apply as a stationary device, despite of a relatively heavy stand and a robust enclosure. The Krebs viscometer can be applied for example in sections of quality control within production processes. Furthermore it is often part of laboratorial equipment. Due to a broad measurement range the Krebs viscometer PCE-RVI 6 can be used for a wide range of measurements. The external temperature sensor measures the samples' temperature und thus assures a measurement of various samples at the same temperature in order to gain repeatable results. Since an external alternation of the samples' temperature might result in alternating characteristics of the tested medium, which leads to a hindered comparison. By featuring a RS 232 interface the Krebs viscometer can be connected with a printer, so that the results of your measurements can be documented permanently in a printed form. The device's operation is very simple, since the measuring process is started by moving down the lever and by that moving the impeller vertically into the measured medium. As soon as the lever is locked into its definitive measuring position the impeller begins automatically with the measurement. The can with the measuring sample is to place on a stand. That stand can be extended in its height, since the can must be placed at an upper height, if its content reaches a very low level.
