Particle
Counter / Particle Meter KM 3886
Meter for counting pollutant particles in the atmosphere/ five particle- sizes recognizable: 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 3.0 and 5.0 µm/ memory storage/ optional software package
A universally applicable particle counter that determines the concentration of particles like dust, grime, pollen and other particulate matter in the air. The particle counter therefore measures five different particle sizes. Due to adaption of optional purchasable sensors for relative humidity, temperature or flow rate, the particle counter can be extended to a real air analysing meter. In order to determine the pollution level of the air accurately this meter has been developed. The pollution is especially induced due to burn-up, fabrication, energy generation, automobile's engine emission and by the construction industry. By means of this particle counter the exact amount of particulate matter in the air can be determined. A high pollution degree in the atmosphere is especially detectable in urban regions and at working places. A growing important factor is the pollution degree of the air with pathogenic particles like grime that is emitted by industries and especially diesel engines without a filter. Such dispersion particles are amongst other things responsible for reduced visibility, distribution of pollutants, the inhalation of toxic substances and thus reduced labour productivity. Contemporary researches show that these particles have an influence on many medical diseases, e.g. asthma, bronchitis, and skin- and pulmonary diseases. Here you will find an overview of all particle counters. For further information about the particle counter KM 3886, please read the following technical data or call our Hotline:

Software package
The software package is designed for transfer of data stored in the particle counter to a computer as well as processing and analysis. The delivery contains a pc- data cable. The software is compatible for Win '95 and newer software.
RS-232-USB-adapter
This software package is being delivered with the particle counter and the RS-232-cable by default. In case the data has to be transferred to a computer or laptop this USB adapter is necessary (including controlling-software).
Isokinetic sensor
Sensor for branch current measurement in case of connection of inert particles
Air speed sensor
The sensor is constructed for simultaneous determination of the flow rate of the air.
Sensor for relative humidity and temperature
The sensor is constructed for simultaneous determination of the room climate.
ISO calibration certificate
For firms that want to include the temperature meter into the firm-internal Checking meter pool or for annual re-calibration. The certification according to ISO standards includes a lab-calibration including a certificate with all data.
Transportation case
The transportation case is made for transportation protection of the particle counter as well as for storing the device in case of longer disuse. Optional available sensors can be stored in it as well.
Stand
For long-term recordings it is always recommended to mount the particle counter on a stand. The stand can be altered repeatedly in its height (stable) so that an optimal position can be guaranteed during the measuring.
