The rotational viscometer Black One determines the viscosity of fluids. Measurement with the rotational viscometer is executed according to DIN 2555 standards. By means of the torque, which the rotational viscometer has to muster in order to spin the rotating body inside the fluid and by the known geometries of the rotational body and the container the viscosity can be determined. Thus the rotational viscometer is able to determine the viscosity of fluids between 20 and 156,000,000 mPa·s. In order to measure thixotropic fluids, i.e. time-dependant non-Newtonian fluids that change their viscosity under pressure, there can be a constant measuring time set at the rotational viscometer. Furthermore there are 21 speed levels to chose between. Due to its spring-free technique and robust construction the rotational viscometer is extremely reliable. The digital display of the rotational viscometer is able to display speed, torque, measuring system, viscosity and time. Application areas are the food and cosmetics industry, paint production as well as chemical and building materials industry.
