By means of the rotational viscometer PCE-RVI 2 the viscosity of liquids can be determined precisely. Therefore the rotational viscometer measures the mechanical resistance of the fluid that works opposite the rotational movement of a spindle. The resulting torque is followed by a viscosity value between 3 and 13,000,000 mPa·s with an accuracy of  ± 1% based on the spindle geometry that will be indicated. The rotational viscometer furthermore measures the temperature of the sample fluid and indicates it along with other parameters like the spindle rotation speed of the selected spindle or the set measuring range on a 4 digit LCD display. The multilingual menu of the rotational viscometer PCE-RVI 2 can be controlled via key buttons at the front of the device and by that allows in combination with different spindle geometries an ideal adjustment of the measuring parameters to the characteristics of the sample fluid. Via a RS-232 interface the rotational viscometer PCE-RVI 2 can be connected  to a computer for a more detailed analysis. By that the rotational viscometer is multisided applicable in areas of food, chemical and cosmetics industries for inspection of construction materials or in areas of research and development at colleges and universities.
