PCE-TG100
Material Thickness Gauge Material thickness
gauge for materials such as metals, glass and homogeneous plastics (with sound velocity adjustment)
|
The PCE-TG100
material thickness gauge can determine the thickness of metals, glass and homogeneous plastics in seconds. This
material thickness gauge is easy to use and takes highly accurate measurements of the thickness of walls and different materials. Each material requires a different velocity of sound. The
material thickness gauge comes adjusted from the factory with 5 different sound velocities for different materials. This device can measure thickness of metals, glass, plastics as well as other homogeneous materials. The sound velocity can be adjusted by the user so the device can be set for the use of a more diverse range of materials. The ultrasound sensor has a measurement head that can be placed inside a elastic black ring. This ring has sectioned circular cuts for measurement of straight, flat or circular surfaces. If measurements have to be taken in tight places, the screw for the sensor head adaptor can be removed easily so the sensor can be used directly on the surface (diameter of 11mm). The
material thickness gauge comes calibrated. An optional laboratory ISO calibration with certificate can be ordered.

Optional accessories - ISO laboratory calibration certificate For companies that wish to include the
material thickness gauge as one of their internal tools or for annual recalibrations. The ISO certification includes a laboratory calibration and a document with all the measurement values.

- Coupling gel The standard kit includes a tube of coupling gel. If you are aware that you have to performs many measurements you can order more gel from us. We recommend that you use the coupling gel to improve the contact between the sensor head and the object that is measured to protect the surface of the object from the sensor.

- Special
probes for your Material Thickness Gauge Different test sensors can be adapted for the use with the thickness meter according to your needs.
|
- Standard probes
Probe with spring suspension body. Connection to
the material thickness gauge via Lemo Plug. The notches make measurements on
round material possible. The measuring frequency is 5 MHz. The probe for the material
thickness gauge can be applied in a temperature range of 0 ... 40 °C.
The standard probe is used for iron, non-ferrous material, steel, plastic, glass,
gold and all other homogenous materials. The standard probe is installed on the
Material Thickness Gauge PCE-TG100.
|
|
- High temperature probe
The high temperature probe for the
material thickness gauge can bei applied for temperatures up to 400 °C. This makes
material thickness measurement on for example freshly rolled steel. The high
temperature probe can also be used to inspect water pipes, steam pipes or pipes
for chemicals. The high temperature probe can be adapted to the measuring device
just as the standard probe. The calibration happens via an installed calibration
standard. The probe finds itself on the material thickness gauge PCE-TG 110.
|
|
- Microprobe
The microprobe for the
material thickness gauge
is used to determine material thickness in areas which are difficult to reach.
Very thin pipes or very angular pieces can also be measured with the help of the
microprobe. The diameter of the probe is 7 mm. The microprobe is connected to
the material thickness gauge via Lemo Plug and calibrated with the help of the
internal calibration function. The microprobe is installed on the material thickness
gauge PCE-TG 120.
