The waterproof steel balance PCE-SD SST featuring a separate display can be MIII calibrated and will be delivered calibrated. The load cells of the waterproof steel balance are IP67 protected, while the display device is made of an IP65 protected enclosure. Thus the waterproof steel balance proves to be ideal for moisture locations or such locations that require a high hygienic standard. With the appropriate equipment that is optionally purchasable, you can also use the waterproof steel balance on ships at sea. Standard functions of the waterproof steel balance are: summation function, counting function, statistics function, mixing on formula, percentage weighing function, animal weighing function, alarm on trespassing thresholds etc. Due to its high IP protection the waterproof steel balance does not feature any interface. But optionally there can be interfaces purchased, e.g. RS-232, RS-485, USB, LAN, OC contactors, analogue interfaces 4-20 mA or 0-10 V for the waterproof stainless steel balance. * The minimum load is defined by the load, from which the calibration authority tests the accuracy of the scale. The waterproof steel scale shows even lower weights, but these are not valid for custody transfer.

Interfaces
Due to its high protection category the waterproof steel balance does not feature any interface. There is the option to integrate these interfaces by order. They cannot be mounted subsequently.

Software Procell
The software is able to simulate a manual data feed-in and can transfer the data e.g. straight to Excel with time and date. There is also the option of saving a TXT file in the background. (data cable not included in delivery)

USB stick
If there is no computer or printer to be connected to the waterproof steel balance, the weighing data can be saved with time and date stamp as a txt.-file on a USB stick. The USB stick is to connect to the waterproof steel balance via the RS-232 interface. The adapter requires a separate external power source (adapter incl.)

Analogue output 4-20 mA / 0 ... 10 V
The 16 bit analogue output converts the weight value into a mA or V signal, so that e.g. a SPS control system can response to that. Example with 4 ... 20 mA: At 0 kg a signal of 4 mA is sent, while at maximum load a 20 mA signal is released. The 20 mA / 10 V limit can be also customized individually.

Potential-free contacts
This contactor is called in short-terms an OC-contactor. It means that by reaching preset weight limits e.g. MIN / OK / MAX, the scale is able to switch a maximum of three contacts. The switch can be either set as an impulse or a continuous signal.

Printer
For immediate print-out of values from the waterproof steel balance (e.g. for protocol of weighing data). Delivery of printer incl. RS232 printer cable and 240 V network adapter, paper width 112 mm ( 1 role incl.).

Signal lights
This signal lamp helps assuring a visible signal system for the whole personnel. If the weight is below the minimal limit, the yellow lamp brightens up, if the values are within the preset thresholds, the green lamp brightens, if the weight trespasses the upper limit, the red light starts brighten.

RS-232 cable
This serial cable has a total length of 1 m, and features the accordant pins 2-3/ 3-2 / 5-5 for a bi-directional communication path of the waterproof steel balance with a computer.

USB adapter
This adapter is meant for a conversion from a RS-232 interface Sub D 9 to a USB interface. It additionally requires a serial cable with the right poling.
