General information regarding ozone (O3) and Ozone generators:
Ozone is gasiform at room temperature or standard air pressure. Due to its oxidizing effect, it is toxic for humans (TLV= 0.2 mg/m³). Therefore the amount and concentration of ozone is countable. After ozone degenerates to oxygen there is no more risk of health. A common indication of ozone inhalation is the occurrence of severe headaches. Due to its oxidizing effect ozone very much irritates the nasal mucosa whereas smaller amounts are inodorous. The odor threshold is considered at 40 µg/m³, where you still get quickly use to the smell and do not notice it any more. Due to its danger for the organism the ozone concentration should be determined. Our ozone meters have a quick response time at high sensitivity.
