Precaution
Meters Here, you will find precaution meters to perform safety tests und inspections on protection measures of electric devices and equipment according to the German guidelines DIN VDE 701-702 and BGV A3. According to DIN VDE 701-702, electric operating resources have to be tested via a precaution meter in regular intervals as well as after every modification and maintenance. By means of our precaution meters these acquired inspections are easily performable. Amongst other things, the inspection of protective ground resistance, the insulation resistance, the stay current and the equivalent stay current can be performed and it can be checked whether there is no power. The protective ground resistance can be inspected through a short-circuit current of 250
mA; inspection via the residual current method can only be partially performed with this precaution meter. Our precaution meter achieves the IEC-1010-1 standards and is TÜV and GS approved. Additionally, an integrated RS-232 or USB interface allows the measuring data to be transferred to a PC.

Why is an inspection necessary?
Regular inspections of electric equipment as well as an inspection after every modification and maintenance of these devices are operator obligations. The operator of electric equipment is set to be the person, on whose charge the electric equipment is being operated. In case that person does not fulfill her obligations that person is at higher risk to be liable for possible defects or accidents resulting in personal injuries and property damage. Thus it is important to test electric equipment according to the DIN VDE 701-702 and BGV A3 guidelines.
