Here you will can find
damp meters for different types of materials. Using our damp
meters is a very simple and comfortable task. These measuring instruments detect the moisture of the materials both resistively and
capacitively. Damp meters are used to determine moisture of walls, concrete, attics and wood.
Damp meters are also used to detect absolute moisture in the field of agriculture, as to ascertain the correct time to plant a crop to achieve the highest yield. The
damp meters will control the process of drying in grain and animal feed by means of telling the user when it is appropriate to move onto the next stage of the drying process.
Different moisture probes can be connected to the damp
meters corresponding to the materials which are to be measured. For most of the materials you will find calibration curves within the internal memory of the
damp meters. You then only need to select the appropriate calibration curve for the material that you wish to measure. If there is no deposit characteristic curve for a material, the user is able to program specific characteristic curves (only possible with the
FMD). In order to do this, tests for the correlation must be done with the help of a drying cupboard. In our portfolio, you will find moisture balances to determine the value of moisture in several materials. With the according software the user is able to document measured results of the
damp meters and to use these results for further purposes.
Also in the field of renewable energy damp
meters are needed as the absolute moisture of solid biomass and wood can be determined too this drying can be completed with a solar kiln as to provide a zero carbon energy source.
Especially during the manufacturing of wood pallets the
damp meters can be used to ensure quality guidelines. If you can't find the

Measurement of absolute moisture with probes for insertion: Measurement of absolute moisture through insertion of probes isn't possible without damaging the material. Mostly, two injection needles will be inserted by the
damp meters. The material acts as resistance. If the material is damp the resistance will be less.
Damp Meters give voltage to both insertion probes and measure the electrical resistance immediately. This resistance will be converted into absolute moisture percent.
Non-destructive measurement absolute moisture meters: Non-destructive measuring instruments work by a capacitive measuring method. These
damp meters are equipped with two sheets that are connected electrically. An interlayer acts as a dielectric material.
Damp meters create a voltage and depending on the material moisture, the electrical field spreads out between the sheets over a greater or smaller area. Therefore conclusions of absolute moisture in the material can be made.
Measuring of absolute moisture / Measuring of material moisture: Measuring instruments of absolute moisture are divided into two groups. There are two ways of measuring instruments, those that measure non-destructively and those that determine absolute moisture via insertion. In the following text several
damp meters and its characteristics will be described.
General information about absolute moisture: Absolute moisture is a measure of moisture that indicates the mass of water vapor in a volume of moist air. Moisture is identical with the thickness of vapor. In some volumes, it is possible to indicate the moisture in g/m³. Due to the nature in the change of volume, moisture in the air depends largely on temperature, and without such an indication it is not possible to compare it with values of other
temperatures. Most of our damp meters indicate moisture in %, as the measurement result does not relate to ambient air but rather to the absolute moisture of the material itself. The use of such
damp meters is especially important in the sectors of industry and construction. You often need to know the exact content of moisture in building materials for further processing to guarantee optimal conditions, or if you need to know the moisture content of medication in the pharmaceutical industry. It is feasible to check if a product has reached the desired moisture after a drying treatment. As you can see, the fields of application for these
damp meters are immense.
