The coating thickness gauges are devices for non-destructive measurement of body paint thickness (paints, varnishes, plastics, iron, steel or non-ferrous metals). Here, the paint thickness gauge impressive features are its enormous range. As an indispensable partner for control measurements as in the workshop, and production in the all-inclusive quality assurance, the CT 28 is the basic equipment of a technician in the paint and color range. These paint thickness gauges are perfectly suitable to detect, for example, accidental damage to bodies immediately to avert damage. Ideal for any vehicle experts. But even in an industrial area this instrument is ideal for use in input and output control as well as to test material in the production with its ergonomically designed paint thickness gauge with integrated probe. In very simple operation, it is allowed to quickly identify high-accuracy measurement results. It is designed for measurements of non-magnetic coatings such as chrome, plastic, zinc, enamel, copper, enamel on steel & iron. Also for the measurement of insulating layers, such as paper, rubber, glass, plastic, enamel, lacquer, etc. on stainless steel, brass, aluminum & copper, and anodized aluminum. Due to the high temperature range, it is ideally suited for testing of coatings to waterborne and rail construction. General information for coating thickness gauges: Especially in the automotive sector these measuring instruments are going to be
more popular constantly.
Coating thickness gauges
measure the coating thickness. There are instruments too, that measure the
brightness of varnish. A new varnish has got another value of brightness than an
old one. UV radiation and environmental conditions can’t be hidden by
polishing. The measurement results are able to show if damages, caused by
accidents, have been eliminated. The original varnish coats will get thinner
constantly (e.g. 110 l’m). The tolerance value of coating thickness on
original varnish coats is really tight. On repainted areas there is a great
fluctuation because the old varnish mostly has been grinded. The new varnish
will be applied then. Also in the industrial sector coating thickness gauges
will get more popular. Vessel varnishing, coats on bridge railing or machines or
wood coating can be measured. Most of the coating thickness gauges are able to
get calibrated according to ISO. So you can integrate these measuring
instruments to your ISO-measuring tool, calibrate them and have stable accuracy. If you wish to view or print a
